Ball-Chatham School District is seeking an experienced public safety professional to serve as Director of Safety and Security. This leadership role oversees district-wide safety initiatives and works collaboratively with administrators, local law enforcement, and emergency response partners to ensure a secure learning environment for students, staff, and visitors.

This position is well suited for an experienced public safety leader who is passionate about protecting others and serving the community while helping support safe, welcoming schools.

Starting Salary: $76, commensurate with experience.

Calendar: 260-day work year with a predictable schedule compared to traditional law enforcement shifts

Qualifications

* Minimum of 10 years of progressively responsible experience in law enforcement, corrections, school safety, emergency management, military police, or a closely related public safety or security field

* Supervisory or command experience preferred

* School safety, SRO, or emergency management experience strongly preferred

* Strong leadership, crisis management, and communication skills

* Ability to pass fingerprint criminal background and DCFS background checks
