Payroll Processor

Our client is seeking a Payroll Administrator to join their accounting team on a temp‑to‑hire basis. This role will be responsible for the accurate and timely processing of semi‑monthly payroll for approximately 300 employees. The ideal candidate will be hands‑on, detail‑oriented, and capable of working independently within a collaborative, lean accounting department.

This position offers immediate training and overlap with the current payroll process to ensure a smooth transition.

• Process semi‑monthly payroll for approximately 300 employees.
• Ensure payroll accuracy, compliance, and timely distribution.
• Maintain payroll records and employee data.
• Review payroll reports and reconcile discrepancies as needed.
• Respond to employee payroll‑related inquiries.
• Partner with accounting and HR teams to support payroll operations.
• Assist with payroll audits, reporting, and year‑end payroll activities.
• Adhere to established payroll procedures and internal controls.

• Experience processing full‑cycle payroll for a workforce of similar size.
• Strong Microsoft Excel skills.
• Ability to quickly learn processes and work independently with minimal supervision.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Excellent communication and problem‑solving abilities.

• Experience with Paylocity.
• Prior experience in a nonprofit, educational, or school environment.
• Familiarity with payroll compliance and reporting requirements.
