Colony Pool - Assistant Swim Coach

Support the Colony Pool Swim Team and help create a competitive, positive, and development-focused summer experience for swimmers. The Assistant Coach works alongside the Head Coach to deliver quality practices, promote sportsmanship, and maintain a safe pool environment.

• Assist with swim team practices for assigned age groups
• Provide stroke instruction and skill development
• Supervise swimmers during practices and meets
• Support meet operations, timing, and team logistics
• Promote teamwork and sportsmanship
• Communicate professionally with swimmers and parents

• You have competitive swim experience and enjoy teaching skills
• You’re dependable and work well as part of a team
• You stay focused and take safety seriously
• You’re comfortable taking direction and supporting a larger program
• You’re available for evenings, weekends, and meets

• Prior competitive swimming and/or coaching experience preferred
• CPR/AED and First Aid certification (or ability to obtain)
• USA Swimming certifications if applicable
• Strong communication and leadership skills

• Extended time on the pool deck
• Lifting up to 30–50 pounds
• Outdoor summer environment (heat, humidity, chemicals)
• Ability to respond quickly in emergency situations
