Accounts Receivable Specialist

Description

We are looking for an Accounts Receivable Specialist to join a manufacturing company in Chattanooga, Tennessee.

This part-time position, offering 24-28 hours per week, provides the flexibility of a Monday through Friday schedule.

Responsibilities:

- Process and manage accounts receivable transactions, ensuring timely and accurate posting.

- Handle cash applications and allocate payments efficiently to customer accounts.

- Perform commercial collections to resolve outstanding balances and maintain positive client relationships.

- Oversee billing functions, including invoice preparation and distribution.

- Monitor and reconcile daily cash activity to ensure proper accounting records.

- Conduct bank reconciliations to verify and balance financial statements.

- Utilize Microsoft Excel to create and maintain spreadsheets for tracking financial data.

- Collaborate with other departments to address discrepancies and improve financial workflows.

- Maintain accurate records and reports for audits and compliance purposes.

Requirements

- Proven experience in accounts receivable processes, including cash applications and collections.

- Knowledge of commercial billing functions and cash activity management.

- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, with the ability to create and analyze spreadsheets.

- Familiarity with bank reconciliations and financial account balancing.

- Strong attention to detail and ability to work with numerical data.

- Effective communication skills to liaise with clients and internal teams.

- Ability to multitask and prioritize responsibilities in a part-time role.

- Prior experience in the manufacturing industry is a plus.

Must be open to a background or drug screening to be considered for this role.
