This role will be aligned to Geo Surfaces while operating within Ten Cate’s U.S. accounting structure and will be based out of Ten Cate’s Chattanooga Corporate Headquarters.

Geo Surfaces, a Ten Cate company, is seeking a Senior Accountant to support day-to-day and month-end accounting operations for the Geo Surfaces business. This role is ideal for an experienced accounting professional with 2–5 years of progressive accounting experience, preferably within construction or project-based environments.

The Senior Accountant will take ownership of key general ledger activities, reconciliations, and close processes, while partnering closely with cross-functional teams and senior accounting leadership. This position requires strong attention to detail, sound judgment, and the ability to work independently within a multi-entity organization.

• Prepare and post general ledger journal entries, including accruals, prepaids, and adjustments
• Perform and review balance sheet and account reconciliations, identifying and resolving discrepancies
• Support and actively participate in month-end and year-end close processes
• Assist with construction and project-based accounting activities, including job costing support (preferred)
• Support expense reporting processes, including account coding, review, and employee guidance
• Manage company credit card reconciliations and compliance tracking
• Assist with inventory and fixed asset accounting, including reconciliations and depreciation tracking
• Support intercompany transactions and reconciliations within a multi-entity environment
• Assist with compliance-related filings such as sales and use tax, annual reports, and other regulatory requirements
• Partner with internal teams and external auditors to support audits, documentation requests, and process improvements
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within accounting processes and controls
• Perform other accounting-related duties as assigned

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required
• 2–5 years of accounting experience, preferably in construction, project-based, or multi-entity environments
• Solid understanding of GAAP and general accounting principles
• Experience supporting month-end close and reconciliations independently
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel
• Experience with ERP or accounting systems strongly preferred
• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• High level of integrity and discretion when handling confidential information
• Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without current or future sponsorship
