Monday – Thursday 8a-4:30p & Friday’s 8a-2:30pm
- Receives, sorts, and distributes department mail in an accurate and timely manner; ensures that all mail received is forwarded to the appropriate person and/or destination; collects and prepares outgoing mail for the department.
- Prepares and processes financial documents for account payable such as invoices, petty cash vouchers, or check requests; reviews and verifies the same for accuracy and completeness.
- Communicates with vendors to resolve routine problems such as unpaid invoices, over payment, requests for copies of invoices, etc.; researched unpaid invoices as requested.
- Receives, records, and prepares daily bank deposits; makes daily entries into accounting software.
- Prepares correspondence regarding the status of accounts and responds to account inquiries; ensures all correspondence is designed professionally and tactfully.
- Ability to meet attendance requirements.
- Ability to read, write, and communicate in the English language.
- Ability to type and keypunch information into a computer.
- Ability to perform mathematical calculations.
- Ability to sort and file documents alphabetically and numerically.
- Ability to operate general office equipment, including a telephone, typewriter, computer, and adding machine.
- Ability to concentrate and pay close attention to detail with constant breaks in concentration associated with answering phones or speaking in person to clients requiring assistance.
- Duties are usually performed seated. However, sitting may be relieved by brief or occasional periods of standing or walking. Physical effort is required for walking, standing, lifting, and carrying light objects (less than 25 lbs.) 10% of work time.
Work requires driving a vehicle daily with exposure to the outdoors where there are physical discomforts associated with changes in weather such as rain, cold, snow, and heat, or discomforts associated with noise, dust, dirt, and the like. Conversely, work is performed in a normal office environment where there are little or no physical discomforts associated with changes in weather or discomforts associated with noise, dust, dirt, and the like.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
High school diploma or G.E.D.,
And
two years of progressively responsible experience working in a general office with accounting and bookkeeping responsibilities,
Or
Any equivalent combination of training and experience which provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.
Certifications/LicensesValid State Driver's License.
