CORE Safety Group is a nationwide safety management and loss control consulting firm. Seeking a strategic and hands‑on Director of Operations & Accounting to oversee the organization's financial operations while driving operational excellence across the business.
Job Responsibilities- Inventory & Fixed Asset Management Lead
- Ensure inventory accuracy through effective controls, reconciliations, and physical inventory counts.
- Lead the day‑to‑day operational and administrative functions of the organization to ensure efficiency, accountability, and profitability.
- Develop, implement, and continuously improve operational policies, procedures, and internal controls.
- Partner with executive leadership to establish strategic goals, annual budgets, and long‑term business initiatives.
- Monitor key operational and financial performance indicators (KPIs) and provide recommendations for continuous improvement.
- Direct all accounting operations, including General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Payroll, Inventory Accounting, Job Costing, and Financial Reporting.
- Ensure accurate and timely monthly, quarterly, and year‑end financial close processes.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field required.
- CPA, CMA, or MBA preferred.
- 7+ years of progressive accounting and operational leadership experience.
- Strong experience with inventory accounting, job costing, and project accounting.
- Comprehensive knowledge of fixed asset accounting and capital project management.
- Experience managing Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Payroll, and Financial Reporting.
- Experience with multi‑state sales tax compliance.
- Strong knowledge of GAAP and internal controls.
- Experience with Quick Books or comparable ERP/accounting software.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
- Excellent leadership, communication, analytical, and problem‑solving skills.
