Description

Our team is actively seeking Senior Accountants for ongoing project and contract opportunities in the Chattanooga area. These roles are ideal for accounting professionals who enjoy taking on new challenges, working in fast-paced environments, and building diverse experience across projects and industries.

Senior Accountants in these opportunities will play a key role in supporting month-end close, financial reporting, reconciliations, and process improvement initiatives. * All roles based in Chattanooga, Tennessee and North Georgia
* Key Responsibilities:

+ Prepare monthly consolidated profit and loss and balance sheet flux analysis for management reporting.

+ Support monthly accounting close procedures and deliverables, including journal entries, reconciliations, and reporting, in accordance with GAAP.

+ Perform balance sheet account reconciliations and account analysis.

+ Assist with financial statement preparation and consolidations.

+ Contribute to cash flow analysis, budgeting, and forecasting activities.

+ Coordinate audit preparation and support quarterly reviews and testing with internal and external auditors.

+ Maintain and strengthen internal controls while ensuring compliance with corporate accounting policies and procedures.

+ Partner cross-functionally with business units to support regulatory reporting and broader accounting initiatives.

+ Drive process improvements and help enhance automation within accounting and reporting functions.

+ Participate in special projects and other responsibilities as needed.

Requirements

- BA/BS in Accounting, CPA credentials are helpful

- Minimum 5-7 years of overall general accounting experience

- Experience with ERP systems, including SAP S4

HANA, Oracle, Sage Intacct, Business Central and Epicor

- Advanced Microsoft Excel proficiency required

- Highly organized and self-motivated

- Demonstrated skills in interacting effectively, both verbally and in writing, with functional managers

- Knowledge of cash applications

- Comprehensive knowledge of account reconciliation

- Foundational knowledge in asset management

- Proficient at analyzing financial data and promptly creating accurate reports

- Ability to prioritize work and balance multiple projects and deadlines

- Multi-entity, intercompany experience a huge plus

- Ability to work well in matrix organization and dealing with ambiguity

- Skillful in analytical, quantitative and social skills
