Senior Accountant
Job Description
The Senior Accountant provides accounting support for a network of independently operated sales agencies within a multi-location commercial play and recreation organization. This role is responsible for day-to-day accounting activities, monthly close and reconciliations, intercompany accounting, and integration of newly acquired agencies into corporate financial processes. The ideal candidate has strong technical accounting skills, attention to detail, and the ability to support multiple business units in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
+ Manage daily accounting activities for multiple sales agencies, ensuring accurate and timely transaction processing.
+ Review and post accounts payable, accounts receivable, expense reports, credit card activity, bank transactions, journal entries, and customer invoicing.
+ Perform monthly balance sheet reconciliations and support month-end close activities.
+ Prepare and record intercompany and reclassification entries; reconcile intercompany balances and resolve variances.
+ Assist in preparing financial statements, analyses, and supporting schedules.
+ Partner with agency personnel to resolve accounting discrepancies and improve financial processes.
+ Support onboarding and integration of newly acquired agencies, including ERP transitions and chart of accounts mapping.
+ Help standardize accounting procedures, documentation, and internal controls across locations.
+ Train agency personnel on accounting policies and month-end processes.
+ Support audit requests, budgeting, forecasting, and other finance initiatives as needed.
Required Qualifications
+ Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
+ 3+ years of accounting experience, preferably in a multi-entity or decentralized environment.
+ Strong knowledge of GAAP, general ledger accounting, journal entries, and account reconciliations.
+
Experience with month-end close and intercompany accounting.
+ Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office applications.
+ Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
+ Excellent communication and relationship-building abilities.
+
Experience with ERP systems; acquisition integration experience is a plus.

Work Environment
Full-time, on-site position in Chattanooga, TN. Up to 20% travel may be required to support agency visits and acquisition integrations. Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $75000.00 - $80000.00/hr.
