Job Title:

Part-Time Administrative Assistant (On-Site - Chattanooga, TN)

Location:

Chattanooga, TN (100% on-site)

Schedule:

20-24 hours per week. Choose either:

- Three 8-hour days:
Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday - Four 6-hour days:
Monday-Thursday

Overview: A national non-profit organization seeks a part-time Administrative Assistant to directly support the Controller and Accounting Specialist. This onsite role is ideal for candidates seeking flexible, part-time hours while making an impact in the non-profit sector.

Key Responsibilities:

- Assist with operational and administrative tasks supporting the Controller and Accounting Specialist - Update reports and spreadsheets regularly - Enter and maintain donor information in the database - Review, code, and organize expenses and receipts - Provide general administrative support, including document management and recordkeeping - Help with other finance/accounting projects as needed

Skills Required:

+ Proficiency in MS Excel - must be skilled with spreadsheets and reporting

+ Exceptional attention to detail - accuracy is critical for handling financial data

+ Strong critical thinking - able to analyze, ask questions, and solve problems independently

Qualifications:

- High school diploma or equivalent - Previous administrative experience, especially supporting finance/accounting teams - Familiarity with donor databases, expense coding, and nonprofit operations a plus

- Prior experience in administrative assistance or providing operational support to an accounting team.
