Legal Support Assistant

We are looking for a part-time legal admin assistant to join our team. Part-time schedule would preferably be Monday – Friday for a minimum of 4 hours per day. You will be responsible for providing administrative support to our attorneys and legal staff, such as preparing documents, filing, scheduling, and communicating with various parties.

Responsibilities include:

• Enter data into document management system.
• Assist with scanning documents.
• Run office errands when needed.
• Take legal documents to be filed at the courthouse when needed.
• Answer phones, transfer calls, make outbound calls to check status of medical records requests, and other various follow up requests with professionalism and excellent phone etiquette.
• Request various documents for case investigations.
• Assist with medical records requests.
• Assist our Marketing Specialist with various tasks

To be successful in this role, you should have excellent organizational, communication, and computer skills. You should also have some knowledge of legal terminology and procedures or be willing to learn. You should be able to work independently and as part of a team and handle multiple deadlines and priorities.

This is a part-time position with flexible hours, depending on the workload and availability. You must have reliable transportation as this job requires local travel typically within a 1-10 mile radius.

• Mileage will be reimbursed.

The pay rate is competitive and commensurate with experience and qualifications.
