Aircraft Scheduler – Capacity Planner
West Star Aviation is hiring a Scheduler/Capacity Planner to develop and maintain the master schedule for aircraft projects in the Chattanooga, TN location. The role requires coordination with various departments to ensure optimal resource utilization and alignment with customer requirements.
Responsibilities- Support sales by providing schedules for available capacity and slots under minimal supervision.
- Maintain the master schedule for all aircraft projects.
- Coordinate with project managers, production teams, and stakeholders to ensure accurate scheduling and resource allocation.
- Support operations meetings to communicate scheduling constraints and gaps.
- Analyze current and forecasted workloads to determine capacity requirements.
- Identify and address potential bottlenecks and resource constraints.
- Analyze scheduling data for variability, cohesiveness, and adequacy while maintaining data integrity.
- Adjust schedules as necessary to accommodate changes in project scope, priorities, and resource availability.
- Track and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) related to scheduling and capacity planning.
- Implement continuous improvement initiatives to enhance scheduling efficiency and accuracy.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Technical certification or bachelor’s degree in business or related field, or equivalent education and experience sufficient to perform the essential functions.
- Minimum of two (2) years of experience in corporate aviation scheduling.
- Experience in demand/capacity planning in aviation is preferred.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Project, Excel, PowerPoint, Word for Windows.
- Proficient use of scheduling programs, spreadsheets, word processors, and databases.
- Strong analytical, problem‑resolution, and communication skills.
- Ability to develop what‑if scenarios and communicate findings to multiple levels of employees and management.
