With a mission to leverage quantum assets and mobilize partnerships for the benefit of our region's people, businesses and communities, the Chattanooga Quantum Collaborative (CQC) efforts sit both between and among our partners engaged in quantum technologies.

Our collaborators are building quantum technology, doing research, training the future quantum workforce, and commercializing quantum products. Our job is to support, activate, convene and connect all the different efforts so they reinforce one other and create greater value for the region as a whole.

We're seeking a resourceful, detail-oriented Quantum Community Coordinator to manage the organization’s contact database, assist in growing it and help with events and other initiatives as needed.

What You'll Do

  • Build out and maintain CQC's contact database by researching, adding, and verifying information on individuals and organizations relevant to the quantum ecosystem
  • Establish and operate a consistent system for organizing, tagging, and updating contact records
  • Identify people and organizations CQC should be connected to and initiate first contact to start relationships
  • Help with event planning and execution
  • Support special projects and pilot initiatives as needed

What We're Looking For

  • Highly organized, with aptitude for building and maintaining systems such as spreadsheets, CRMs, or databases
  • Comfortable reaching out to people they don't know and starting professional conversations
  • Can work independently and make steady progress with limited day-to-day direction
  • Detail-oriented
  • Communicates professionally and clearly in person and in writing
  • Adaptable, able to wear various hats
  • Comfortable working in a startup environment
  • Available to be on-site and hands-on around key CQC events
  • Part-time, short term (August 2026 - February 2027, estimated 10-20 hours/week)
  • Flexible schedule, with some evening/weekend availability needed around events
  • Mostly remote, but candidate must be based in the Chattanooga area
  • Compensation is hourly
