Purchasing Coordinator- Multi-Family

We're expanding into multifamily apartment development, bringing our expertise in efficient construction management and innovative building solutions to the rental housing market.

We are seeking an experienced

Purchasing Coordinator to support our multifamily apartment project in Chattanooga, TN. This role requires hands-on experience with large-scale multifamily construction purchasing and proficiency in Procore project management software. You will be responsible for procurement, vendor coordination, and materials management for a multi-unit residential development.

• ✅Proven multifamily construction purchasing experience(apartment buildings, townhome communities, or similar multi-unit projects)
• ✅Active Procore software experience(procurement, submittals, RFIs, and budget tracking)
• Applicants without both qualifications will not be considered.

• Manage procurement for multifamily apartment construction including bulk material orders, fixtures, appliances, and finishes across multiple units
• Process purchase orders, subcontracts, and vendor agreements in Procore
• Track budgets, change orders, and cost reporting using Procore's project management tools
• Coordinate with general contractor, architect, and subcontractors on material specifications and delivery schedules
• Maintain vendor relationships and negotiate pricing for high-volume orders
• Manage submittal process and material approvals through Procore
• Monitor inventory levels and ensure timely material delivery to avoid project delays
• Generate purchasing reports and budget variance analysis
• Support value engineering and cost-saving initiatives

• 2+ years purchasing experience in multifamily construction (garden-style apartments, mid-rise, or similar)
• Experience with bulk purchasing for 50+ unit projects
• Knowledge of multifamily building systems (HVAC, plumbing, electrical, MEP coordination)
• Familiarity with HUD, tax credit, or other multifamily regulatory requirements
