Job Summary
Salary: $100,000 – $120,000 per year.
Project engineer to manage, design, and detail building structures both independently and as part of a larger team. This role serves as a liaison between other design professionals and the firm’s principals, selects structural systems and conceptual framing, performs all necessary analysis and design calculations, develops construction drawings and specifications, self‑performs drafting and written texts, reviews shop drawings, and reviews contractor’s work during construction.
Responsibilities- Manage, design, and detail building structures.
- Serve as liaison between design professionals and principals.
- Select structural systems and conceptual framing.
- Perform analysis and design calculations.
- Develop construction drawings and specifications.
- Self‑perform drafting and written texts.
- Review shop drawings and contractor work during construction.
- Master of Science degree in Structural Engineering.
- Minimum four years of experience designing building structures.
- Professional Engineer registration.
- Engineering design skills in steel, concrete, masonry, and timber.
- Familiarity with design codes.
- Experience producing construction documents (drawings and specifications).
- Proficiency in RAM or RISA analysis software.
- Fluency in REVIT.
- Hourly pay with overtime.
