Interior Designer

We are seeking a creative, detail-oriented Interior Designer to join our growing team in Chattanooga, Tennessee. This role is responsible for guiding home buyers through the design selection process, ensuring a seamless and enjoyable experience while bringing each client’s vision to life within the framework of our home offerings.

The ideal candidate blends strong design sensibility with excellent customer service, organization, and the ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.

• Lead client design consultations, assisting home buyers with selections including finishes, fixtures, color palettes, flooring, cabinetry, and lighting
• Translate client preferences into cohesive, functional design plans aligned with builder standards and budgets
• Maintain a deep understanding of current design trends, materials, and products relevant to residential construction
• Prepare design presentations, mood boards, and selection documentation
• Ensure all selections are accurately documented and communicated to construction, purchasing, and trade partners
• Collaborate closely with sales, construction, and procurement teams to ensure design intent is executed properly
• Manage selection timelines to align with construction schedules and avoid delays
• Provide exceptional customer service, creating a positive and memorable design experience for each client
• Maintain and update the design center, including displays, samples, and vendor materials
• Build and maintain relationships with vendors and suppliers

• Bachelor’s degree in Interior Design or related field (or equivalent experience)
• 2+ years of residential interior design experience (new construction preferred)
• Experience working with production or semi-custom home builders is a plus
• Strong knowledge of materials, finishes, and residential construction processes
• Proficiency in design software (e.g., AutoCAD, Sketch Up, Revit, or similar) and Microsoft Office
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

• Ability to manage multiple clients and deadlines simultaneously
• Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy

• Familiarity with design center operations and client selection processes
• Ability to read and interpret construction plans and specifications
• Budget management and value-engineering experience
• Knowledge of local market trends in the Chattanooga area

• Primarily based in a design center or office setting in Chattanooga, TN
• Regular interaction with clients, vendors, and internal teams
• Occasional visits to job sites and model homes
