The Administrative Assistant, BSN Program will provide comprehensive administrative and operational support to BSN students, faculty, and leadership to support student success, program compliance, and efficient day‑to‑day operations. This includes responsibilities such as scheduling, document management, coordination of program activities, and front‑line support for student and faculty inquiries. Ideal candidates must have excellent interpersonal, communication, problem‑solving, and listening skills. Candidates must be able to adapt to a fast‑paced work environment and manage multiple priorities and changing assignments.
This is a non‑instructional position supporting the Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) Program. This role requires considerable interaction with students, faculty, staff, and external partners through individual meetings, email, phone communication, and program events. Administrative Assistants are expected to possess extensive knowledge of program procedures, institutional policies, and student support processes. They must be able to interpret individual needs, provide timely assistance, and work effectively with individuals who may be confused, stressed, or demanding.
Employees in this role can expect to assist individuals regarding program processes, deadlines, and services; support faculty and leadership with administrative needs; and help guide students toward successful completion of program requirements. This position requires maintaining confidentiality and accurate records to ensure compliance with accreditation standards, institutional policies, and federal regulations (e.g., FERPA). The role may also support institutional events such as Orientation, Pinning, and Graduation.

$40,000 – $42,500 annually (commensurate with experience)
Responsibilities- Provides administrative support to a diverse population of students, faculty, and program stakeholders, including regular communication regarding program processes and deadlines
- Supports institutional and program priorities related to student engagement, retention, and completion
- Assists students and faculty through individual interactions to address administrative questions and provide guidance on processes
- Educates individuals on institutional resources, policies, procedures, and expectations
- Utilizes technology and systems to promote efficiency and accurate recordkeeping
- Completes required professional development and training annually
- Supports department‑wide and student services initiatives
- Maintains accurate documentation and records in compliance with institutional, accreditation, and federal requirements
- Collaborates with departments and colleagues to increase engagement, retention, and student success
- Provides referrals to appropriate departments for concerns that may impair student success
- Upholds confidentiality and complies with institutional policies, accreditation standards, and federal regulations
- Assists with planning and coordination of events such as Orientation, Pinning Ceremonies, and Graduation
- Maintains office systems, supplies, and resources necessary to effectively perform job duties
- Remains current on relevant guidelines, best practices, and institutional updates
- Collaborates with the BSN Program Director and nursing leadership
