Adjunct PN Didactic Pathway Basic Math Instructor
At Chattanooga College, the Practical Nursing (LPN) Department helps implement our strategy of providing career-oriented degree programs that make a difference in the healthcare community. The Adjunct Didactic Pathway Basic Math Instructor will provide classroom instruction and educational support to students enrolled in the Pathway Basic Math Course to support student learning, skill development, and successful program completion. Responsibilities include delivering classroom instruction, supporting curriculum objectives, evaluating student performance, and fostering a safe, engaging, and supportive learning environment.
Ideal candidates will have strong interpersonal, communication, and instructional skills and a passion for educating future nurses. Candidates must be adaptable, student-focused, and able to manage the responsibilities of classroom teaching in a dynamic healthcare environment.
This is an instructional (adjunct faculty) position supporting the Practical Nursing (LPN) Department. The role requires significant interaction with students, faculty, and personnel through direct classroom supervision, instruction, and evaluation. They must interpret individual student learning needs, provide constructive feedback, and work effectively with students who may be stressed or challenged in classroom settings.
Employees in this role can expect to teach and support students in the classroom environment, guide students in applying theory to practice, and assist with professional development. This position requires maintaining confidentiality and accurate records to ensure compliance with accreditation standards, institutional policies, and applicable federal and state regulations. Education & Experience
Education or Training:
- Associate of Science in Nursing required
Experience
- Minimum of 4 years working experience
Other Requirements
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Ability to commit to an entire class course schedule (Mondays and Thursday Evening hours) 6:00 pm - 9:50 pm
