• Support educational interpreters and plan school-wide schedules for their support.
• Develop programs and coordinate services for Deaf/Hearing-Impaired students.
• Participate in team efforts involving staff, parents, and students for service delivery.
• Provide in-service training on the social-emotional and educational needs of Deaf-Hearing-Impaired students.
• Consult and collaborate with parents, teachers, and specialists to plan educational programs.
• Maintain student records to ensure compliance with laws and regulations.
• Possess a Master’s or Bachelor’s Degree in Deaf Education or a related field.
• Meet Tennessee certification requirements for Teacher of the Deaf/Hearing-Impaired (463), with preferred additional certifications.
• Ability to use sign language is required.
