We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate teacher with a strong commitment to early childhood education to work at our Little Scholars Site. As a teacher, you'll play a pivotal role in nurturing the intellectual, emotional, and social growth of our children. Join us in fostering a love for learning and shaping the future generation!

Little Scholars is a mixed age early childhood classroom that operates in conjunction with the MOMentum Network, a nonprofit supporting single moms seeking higher education. Little Scholars is located at 1152 Lincoln Park Lane, Chattanooga, TN 37403

What You Get:

  • Fair Pay That Grows With You:
    Start at $11/hour if you only have a high school education and little experience; from $13/hour with a Child Development Associate (CDA) certificate. If you have more education or experience, you can earn up to $18-19/hour.

What You'll Do:

  • Keep children safe and engaged during play, learning, and daily routines.
  • Lead fun activities that help kids grow in how they think, move, and get along with others.
  • Keep the classroom clean, organized, and welcoming.
  • Work closely with other teachers, parents, and volunteers.
  • Watch for health needs and help children as needed.

What You Need:

  • Be at least 18 years old with a high school diploma or GED.
  • Have prior experience working with children in a classroom or group setting
  • Have patience, compassion, and creativity necessary for working with young children.
  • Be reliable
  • Be able to work well with other team members and parents
