This is a 12-month position program director in the Nursing & Allied Health Division.

Role Responsibilities

Summary:

The Program Director for the Neurodiagnostic Therapy Program will report directly to the Dean of the Nursing & Allied Health Division. This role includes administrative oversight of the program and some teaching responsibilities. The Program Director is primarily responsible for teaching in the Associate of Applied Science (AAS) Neurodiagnostic Laboratory Technology Program while ensuring program quality and compliance with accreditation standards.

Teaching responsibilities include classroom and laboratory instruction, maintaining a positive learning environment, and supervising student learning. The Program Director is expected to respond to students in a timely manner and communicate effectively with faculty, staff, and administration using college-provided tools and resources.

  • Prepares instructional materials such as lectures, presentations, and lab sessions.
  • Uses various learning assessments to evaluate student mastery of course and program outcomes
  • Provides feedback on student’s progress, in a timely manner, to facilitate academic success
  • Prepares and submits required documentation including course syllabi, student attendance, final course grades and other information as requested or required by the college
  • Coordinates outreach with development and maintenance of relationships with industry-related personnel and employers; participates in professional organizations promoting advancement of the Medical Laboratory Technician Program.
  • Maintains professional development/growth according to personal needs and requirements for certification
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications
  • Performs other job-related duties and projects assigned in support of the Program’s and College’s mission, core values and goals

Holistic Student Support

  • Serve as a respected professional role model for NDT students and graduates.
  • Collaborate with faculty, deans, and other administrators to meet the holistic needs of our students.
  • Advise applicants on academic and career goals to help them develop plans for program entry or graduation and job placement.
  • Assist in the recruitment, selection, orientation and evaluation of NDT program applicants and new students.
  • Counsel and advise program students regarding career goals, registration, clinical requirements, schedules, retention and remediation concerns, and job placement.
  • Complete and update program documentation for program operations and CAAHEP accreditation purposes, as necessary and/or as requested by the Dean.

Teaching Excellence

  • Assist in development and revision of appropriate instructional instruments to assure desired learning outcomes, according to program standards, particularly in regard to medical laboratory.
  • Support coordination with clinical liaisons, as necessary, to assure appropriate student exposure to specific didactic and/or clinical instruction.
  • Evaluate student performance within the classroom, laboratory and clinical environments.
  • Promote, support and participate in student retention, and other program and student outcome efforts.

Organizational Culture

  • Report directly to the Dean Nursing & Allied Health, maintaining a positive and active relationship for the benefit of the program culture, students and the College and community.
