Teacher Assistant​/Float

Do you enjoy working with young children and being part of a team? We are looking for a Teacher Assistant - Floater to provide support wherever it is needed throughout the center.

This is a great role for someone who likes variety and enjoys working with different classrooms and age groups. You will help teachers provide a safe, caring, and fun learning environment for children.

Location: Pro Re Bona Early Learnng Center, 1707 Dodds Avenue, Chattanooga, TN

Schedule: Monday-Friday, 12:00 PM - 5:30 PM (potential for full-time)

Pay: From $13/hour (no experience required); higher with experience/education

What You'll Do

• Help cover teacher and staff breaks throughout the day.
• Provide classroom coverage when staff members are absent.
• Help in classrooms that need extra support.
• Work with children during play, learning activities, meals, and routines.
• Help keep classrooms clean, safe, and organized.
• Build positive relationships with children, families, and coworkers.

What We Need

• 18+ years old with a high school diploma or equivalent
• Able to pass a fingerprint background check
• Enjoys working with young children.
• Caring, patient, and dependable.
• Works well as part of a team.
• Able to adjust to different classrooms and situations.
• Previous experience working with children in a classroom setting preferred.

Physical Requirements

• Sit, stand, walk, bend, squat, and kneel throughout the day.
• Lift and carry young children when needed.
• Participate in activities with children both indoors and outdoors.
• Maintain active supervision of children.
