Position SummaryBlue Line Solutions is seeking a dependable and hands-on Product Support Engineer to support the Hardware Engineering team with the refinement, assembly, installation, and logistics of hardware used in photo speed enforcement and red-light camera systems. This role plays a critical part in enabling engineering productivity by supporting prototype builds, equipment staging, testing, field preparation, and early product deployments. The ideal candidate enjoys hands-on technical work, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and can bridge the gap between engineering design and real-world installation.
Key Responsibilities Hardware Assembly & Installation Support- Install and assemble hardware including cameras, solar panels, brackets, enclosures, and wiring harnesses under the direction of engineers.
- Assist with staging, configuration, and testing of prototype systems prior to deployment.
- Support engineers with measurements, mounting, cable routing, and basic troubleshooting during builds and installations.
- Identify assembly or installation challenges and provide feedback to support product design improvements.
- Assist with new product development efforts through hands-on support in the lab and field.
- Support prototype validation, test setups, and early deployments.
- Follow all safety procedures during lab, warehouse, and field activities.
- Transport hardware, tools, and supplies between the engineering lab, warehouse, and job sites.
- Maintain organized inventory of hardware parts, tools, and materials used for prototypes and builds.
- Ensure equipment is properly prepared, tracked, and ready for deployment.
- High school diploma or GED required; technical training, trade certification, or related coursework preferred.
- 2+ years of experience in a hands-on technical, mechanical, construction, or engineering support role.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
- Hands-on mechanical and technical aptitude
- Use of hand tools, power tools, and measurement devices
- Ability to follow technical instructions and engineering direction
- Attention to detail and quality workmanship
- Strong work ethic and reliability
- Foundational experience in low-level software development (such as scripting, firmware exposure, or basic coding concepts)
- Experience with surveillance equipment, traffic enforcement technology, or camera systems.
- Familiarity with solar-powered systems or light electrical installations.
- Experience with pole mounting hardware or outdoor field installations.
- Background working in a hardware lab, production environment, or engineering support role.

This role reports directly to the Vice President of Hardware and works closely with Engineers, Production, Field Services, and Operations.
Compensation- Salary: $60,000 – $75,000 per year
