We are seeking an Electrical Engineering Technician / Electrical Drafter to support engineering teams in the development of electrical design deliverables. This role requires 2–3 years of drafting experience focused specifically on electrical projects (candidates with primarily civil drafting backgrounds will not be considered).

This position is based in the Chattanooga, TN office and requires candidates to be within commuting distance. This role is intended to support a local client and grow long-term expertise within the office.

• Support electrical engineering teams by performing technical drafting and design tasks
• Create, modify, and maintain electrical drawings and technical documentation
• Utilize AutoCAD (Micro Station a plus) and other digital design tools
• Assist with development of schematics, wiring diagrams, and site layouts
• Perform basic material quantity takeoffs and dimensional checks
• Coordinate deliverables with other disciplines to minimize design conflicts
• Apply industry standards, document control processes, and quality procedures
• Support continuous improvement and quality assurance initiatives
• May begin providing guidance to junior technicians

• 2–3 years of drafting experience on electrical projects
• Proficiency with Autodesk AutoCAD (Micro Station experience is a plus)
• Experience developing electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, or layout drawings
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow engineering standards
• Must be located within commuting distance of Chattanooga, TN

• Substation design experience (schematics, wiring, site layouts)
• Familiarity with CAD, BIM, or 3D modeling tools
• Associate degree or technical certificate in Drafting, Engineering Technology, or related field

• Onsite role – no remote option
