The Project Scheduler supports Estimators and Project Managers by developing, maintaining, and analyzing project schedules throughout the estimating, pre-construction, and execution phases of electrical construction projects. This role provides schedule-driven insight to improve bid accuracy, project planning, resource coordination, and on-time project delivery.
POSITION FUNCTIONS- Develop preliminary and baseline schedules to support bid proposals.
- Collaborate with Estimators to validate durations, sequencing, manpower assumptions, and project milestones.
- Obtain required schedule information by all disciplines/functions.
- Ensure schedules align with contract requirements.
- Assist with schedule-based risk analysis during the estimating phase, identifying potential schedule risks, opportunities, and impacts to labor and cost.
- Support preparation of proposal schedules and phasing plans bids.
- Coordinate with Estimators and operations leadership to align bid strategies with schedule feasibility.
- Participate in estimating reviews and bid strategy meetings as needed.
- Maintain estimating schedule templates, historical data, and lessons learned.
- Support transition of estimating schedules to project teams upon award.
- Develop and maintain detailed project schedules from award through closeout.
- Work closely with Project Managers and field leadership to align schedules with work plans, labor availability, and material lead times.
- Coordinate with all departments to ensure understanding of total project schedule needs.
- Track progress and update schedules based on field input and changing project conditions.
- Prepare look-ahead schedules, milestone tracking, and progress reports.
- Support schedule analysis related to change orders and delays.
- Participate in project meetings and provide updates as needed.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field or equivalent knowledge or skills obtained through a combination of education, training, and experience.
- 2+ Years of scheduling experience, preferably in the electrical construction field.
- Proven proficiency in Primavera P6.
- Strong experience in Microsoft Office, specifically Excel.
- Organized with a strong attention to detail.
- Strong ability to identify and solve issues.
- Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong interpersonal and customer service skills.
- Self-motivated.
- Capable of handling multiple projects concurrently with good time management.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality.
- Ability to conduct oneself in an appropriate manner as a representative of Service Electric, working effectively in a diverse work environment.
