Our client, a growing manufacturer in the plastics sector, is seeking a hands‑on Reliability Engineer to lead and build the reliability program at their Knoxville‑area facility. This is a high‑impact position where you’ll work directly on the plant floor to improve equipment performance, reduce downtime, and drive long‑term operational results.

What You’ll Do- Lead and develop the plant’s reliability program to support safe, efficient, and compliant operations
- Partner with Maintenance, Production, and Engineering teams to improve equipment reliability and maintainability
- Drive root cause analysis (RCA) and implement long‑term corrective actions
- Design, implement, and continuously improve:
- Preventive maintenance (PM) programs
- Predictive maintenance (PdM) strategies
- Condition monitoring and non‑destructive testing methods
- Analyze recurring equipment failures and implement solutions that improve:
- Operating costs
- Safety and regulatory compliance
- Provide technical support during both routine and critical equipment issues
- Develop and deliver training programs to strengthen maintenance team capabilities
- Support reliability improvements across:
- Utilities and facilities
- Controls and safety systems
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Industrial Engineering
- 2–5+ years of experience in:
- Reliability Engineering
- Maintenance Engineering
- Manufacturing equipment support
- Strong experience with:
- Root cause analysis (RCA)
- Preventive and predictive maintenance
- Hands‑on mindset—you’re comfortable working on the plant floor
- Strong problem‑solving, organizational, and communication skills
- Previous experience as a Maintenance Supervisor, Technician, or Manager
- Experience in plastics or continuous manufacturing environments
- $85,000 – $95,000 base salary (commensurate with experience)
