This position offers exciting opportunities to contribute to various environmental, civil, and geotechnical engineering design projects. You will be instrumental in supporting project needs through computer-aided design and drafting (CADD), including tasks such as developing design layouts, grading plans, Plan & Profile, Section Views, and details for civil infrastructure projects.

Your work will encompass landfill cell/closure designs, industrial remediation, stormwater improvements, and more. You will play a key role from the conceptual design phase to construction, working on structural systems and deep foundation projects.

• Draft, edit, and finalize design plans using efficient methods while adhering to Geosyntec design standards.
• Visualize and understand civil and geotechnical engineering concepts, translating them into effective design drawings.
• Analyze sketches and input materials to identify the best approach for grading and modeling tasks.
• Manage drawing set production, including creation, markup, and modifications based on design requirements.
• Collaborate with other CADD practitioners to ensure high-quality work and improvement of CAD standards and workflows.

• Associate's degree in Drafting and a minimum of five years of relevant experience in civil engineering; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Proficiency in the latest version of AutoCAD Civil 3D is essential.
• Experience with Autodesk Revit and its interoperability with Civil 3D is preferred.
• Skilled in developing and working with survey data, grading plans, and earthwork volumes for large civil projects.
• Ability to interpret redline drawings and utilize land or aerial surveying data.
• Strong mathematical, geometrical skills, and proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
• Exceptional communication skills and the ability to contribute effectively in a team environment.
• Organizational skills to manage multiple projects effectively.
• Experience with landfill, roadway, and stormwater infrastructure design is a plus.
• Certification in Autodesk AutoCAD Civil 3D (or the capacity to obtain within one year of hire) is preferred.
• Candidates will be required to complete a 3rd party Civil 3D assessment and typical homework assignment.
