Geotechnical Engineer

Labella Associates is seeking a Senior Geotechnical Engineer in Chattanooga, TN

• Perform geotechnical field investigations. This may include boring layouts, drilling inspections, and running geophysical surveys.
• Coordinate and assist with managing the scope of services provided by subcontract drilling firms.
• Perform visual classification and laboratory testing of soil samples.
• Perform geotechnical field inspections during the construction phase, as needed.
• Preparing geotechnical proposals and attending client meetings.
• Participate in meetings with design team, stakeholders, and clients.
• Client facing (i.e. communicates well and is able to sell our services)
• Ready to gain field experience as well as work on design work at a computer.

• B.S. degree in civil engineering or related field.
• 6+ years of progressive experience in the geotechnical engineering field.
• EIT license (PE is a plus)
• Effective verbal and written communication.
• Driver’s License Required
• Possess a high capacity for self-motivation and be able to apply engineering knowledge to a variety of projects.
