Electrical Engineering Associate – Barge Design Solutions

Location:

Facilities Engineering Solution Center. The role supports design and development of electrical systems across industrial, commercial, and healthcare projects.

Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with project team members, client representatives, and review agencies to provide comprehensive reports or detailed designs.
  • Prepare engineering documents using CAD and design software to generate 2D and 3D models and plans.
  • Assist in analysis or preparation or modification of reports, specifications, plans, permits, and designs for projects.
  • Perform lighting photometric designs.
  • Perform electrical calculations for voltage drop and cable sizing, electrical service sizing, panel board, and equipment designs.
  • Perform electrical studies including short circuit analysis, coordination, and arc flash studies.
  • Coordinate with other disciplines such as civil, architectural, structural, and mechanical engineering to complete detailed designs.
  • Participate in project site visits as needed.
  • Participate in construction administration by reviewing submittals and assisting in responses to RFIs.
  • Demonstrate strong attention to detail.
  • Learn and implement code requirements including the National Electrical Code and other operational policies.
  • Perform other duties as requested.
Education & Experience Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering from an ABET-accredited university.
  • EIT certification.
  • At least 2+ years of industry experience preferred.
  • Experience using AutoCAD and/or Revit.
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret job-related manuals and documents.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and teamwork skills.
