Senior P&C Engineering Specialist – Power Delivery Substation
This position is based in the Chattanooga office and is focused on overseeing substation P&C design projects.
Job Responsibilities- Check and review junior personnel’s work for accuracy and adherence to client and national standards
- Perform and review project scoping activities
- Prepare engineering labor cost estimates
- Mentor junior engineers and designers
- Travel to job sites as needed
- Interface with client engineers to provide satisfactory design products
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering from an ABET‑accredited university is required
- Professional Engineer license is a plus but not required;
Mesa will assist the successful candidate in obtaining their PE license
- 8+ years of experience in substation design and engineering
- Experience working directly for TVA is a plus but not required
- May be required to work additional hours occasionally to meet deadlines; this is not expected more than a few weeks per year
- Desirable to work additional hours on occasion to meet client deadlines
- Reports to the Chattanooga office
