Senior P&C Engineering Specialist
Mesa seeks a Senior P&C Engineering Specialist who will be responsible for checking and overseeing deliverables associated with substation P&C design projects. Assigned tasks will include drawing checking activities for Single Lines, Schematics, Wiring Diagrams, Panel Front Views, Conduit and Cable Schedules, Various Calculations, and Bill of Materials. The ideal candidate will also provide mentorship to other junior engineers and designers.
Job Responsibilities:
- Check/review junior personnel's work for accuracy/adherence to client and national standards
- Perform/review project scoping activities
- Prepare engineering labor cost estimates
- Mentor junior engineers and designers
- Willingness to handle minimal travel to job sites
- Interface with client engineers to provide satisfactory design products
Education/Licensure:
- A Bachelor's degree in engineering from an ABET accredited university is required
- Professional Engineer license is a plus but not required. Mesa will assist the successful candidate in obtaining their PE license.
Experience:
- We are seeking individuals with 8+ years of experience in substation design and engineering
- Experience working directly for TVA is a plus but not required
Work Schedule:
- Being willing to work additional hours to meet deadlines may occasionally be requested but is not expected to occur more than a few weeks per year.
- Willingness to work additional hours on occasion to meet client deadlines is desirable.

- This position will report to our Chattanooga office
