Electrical Designer / Electrical Engineer (1+ Years Experience)
seeking an Electrical Designer or Junior Electrical Engineer to join our growing team. This position will support the design and production of electrical systems for commercial building projects. The ideal candidate will have at least one year of experience in consulting engineering, be proficient in Revit and AutoCAD, and possess a strong desire to grow within a collaborative engineering environment.
Responsibilities- Assist with the design of electrical power distribution, lighting, and low-voltage systems for commercial projects.
- Prepare construction documents, drawings, and specifications using Revit and AutoCAD.
- Perform electrical load calculations, panel schedules, and equipment layouts under the guidance of senior engineers.
- Coordinate designs with architects, mechanical engineers, structural engineers, and other project stakeholders.
- Participate in project meetings and assist with addressing client and contractor requests.
- Review shop drawings, submittals, and RFIs during construction.
- Support site visits and field investigations as needed.
- Ensure designs comply with applicable codes, standards, and client requirements.
- Associate's Degree, Technical Degree, or Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or related field preferred.
- Minimum 1 year of experience in electrical design for commercial building projects.
- Proficiency with Revit and AutoCAD.
- Working knowledge of electrical systems, including power distribution, lighting, and life safety systems.
- Familiarity with the National Electrical Code (NEC).
- Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
- Experience with commercial, educational, municipal, healthcare, or mixed-use projects.
- EIT certification or pursuit of professional licensure.
- Exposure to electrical calculations and BIM coordination.
