This is a full-time, on-site Project Manager role based in Chattanooga, TN. The Project Manager will oversee the planning, coordination, and execution of engineering, environmental, and construction-related projects, ensuring scope, schedule, budget, and quality requirements are met. Daily responsibilities include managing project timelines and resources, coordinating with internal teams and external stakeholders, and tracking deliverables and documentation. The role involves directing expediting activities to keep materials, equipment, and services on schedule, organizing inspections to verify compliance with project specifications and standards, and resolving issues that may affect project progress.
The Project Manager will also prepare reports, communicate status updates to clients and leadership, support continuous improvement of project processes, and uphold safety and regulatory requirements on all assigned projects.
- Project management skills, including experience with Project Management methodologies, scheduling, budgeting, and stakeholder coordination.
- Experience with Expediting and working as an Expeditor to monitor vendor commitments, material deliveries, and critical-path items.
- Inspection experience, including coordinating and reviewing construction, engineering, or environmental inspections for compliance and quality.
- Logistics Management skills to plan and optimize movement of materials, equipment, and resources across multiple project sites.
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, construction management, environmental science, or a related field, or equivalent relevant experience.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with attention to detail and accuracy in documentation.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to collaborate across multidisciplinary teams and interact with clients.
- Proficiency with project management software and common office tools (e.g., MS Project, Excel, Word, and collaborative platforms).
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple concurrent projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Commitment to safety, quality, and ethical professional standards; familiarity with applicable regulations and industry best practices is beneficial.
