, you'll sit at the intersection of finance and operations - partnering closely with plant and project teams to ensure costs, margins, and inventory are understood, controlled, and optimized.

What You'll DoAs a Senior Cost Accountant, you'll support the integrity of financial reporting while providing insight into manufacturing and project performance.
Cost & Project Accounting (40%)- Maintain and update standard costs, BOMs, and labor/overhead rates
- Manage and reconcile Work-in-Progress (WIP) balances
- Analyze margins, variances, and cost drivers
- Support inventory valuation, cycle counts, and physical inventories
- Partner with operations and project managers to resolve discrepancies
- Prepare journal entries, accruals, and deferrals in accordance with GAAP
- Perform monthly reconciliations (inventory, WIP, leases, prepaids, accruals)
- Support month-end and year-end close processes
- Assist with audit schedules and documentation
- Support annual budgeting and rolling forecasts
- Provide cost and WIP inputs for planning assumptions
- Deliver variance analysis with clear commentary for leadership
- Develop financial and operational reporting for management
- Support ERP and data improvement initiatives
- Participate in special projects and cross-functional improvements
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA or CMA preferred)
- 2-6 years of accounting experience, with at least 2+ years in cost/manufacturing or project accounting
- Strong understanding of GAAP and cost accounting principles
- Experience with ERP systems (Epicor, SAP, Net Suite, or similar)
- Advanced Excel skills (Power Query, pivots, lookups, modeling)
- Detail-oriented, analytical, and comfortable in a fast-paced environment
- Strong communication skills and ability to partner cross-functionally
