Responsible for providing administrative support and financial assistance to the General Accounting department and other Finance areas. Under the general direction of the Controller, responsible for an assigned shift, up to 40 hours per week. Employee is subject to call back as required by the hospital.

• Assists the General Accounting and Finance Departments with various projects to ensure deadlines are met.
• Provides assistance with non-patient invoicing using Quick Books.
• Assists in month-end close procedures by posting journal entries, compiling data, preparing spreadsheets and scanning documents.
• Assists in preparation of the annual operating budget, as required.
• Assists external and internal auditors in audit procedures.
• Contributes to a positive work climate and the overall team effort of the department.
• Performs related responsibilities as required or directed.

• Currently pursuing bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
• Completion of basic and intermediate Accounting and/or Finance courses.

• N/A

• This position does not require prior related experience.

• Knowledge and ability to demonstrate accounting skills according to current hospital policies and procedures as acquired through completion of basic college Accounting courses.
• Must be proficient in the use of personal computers and spreadsheet software.
• Ability to use 10-key calculator at a proficient speed.
