The Physical Therapy Team Lead is a licensed physical therapist employed by Erlanger Health System whose responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Responsibilities- Manage Day To Day Operations — staff scheduling and time off approvals to maintain optimal staffing levels
- Patient assignments
- Quality improvement in regards to documentation, billing, Medicare regulations, productivity and patient care
- Assess needs for and perform staff counseling or disciplinary actions
- Maintain optimal supply levels for the delivery of patient care
- Perform interviews, selection and orientation of new hires
- Complete employee evaluations
- Act as liaison between the department and all other departments within the hospital to promote interdisciplinary communication and collaboration
- Collaborate with other Rehab leadership staff to review and development of departmental policies
- Collaborate with other Rehab leadership staff to develop strategic planning for the department to continually strive for best practice concerning quality patient care
- Assist director with recommendations for capital budget requests and annual budget reviews
- Responsible for direct and indirect care in the rehabilitation of the patient
- Required:
Bachelor s Degree in Physical Therapy - Preferred:
Experience — Previous management experience
- Required:
Physical Therapist Tennessee licensure - BLS completed prior to going to the unit/department and maintained going forward
- Completion of 8 hours of education specific to Total Ankle, Hip and Knee Replacement (if assigned to that unit)
- Completion of 4 of these hours as Erlanger Online Education upon hire (EOLs and other training will be assigned by Department Leadership and/or Educator)

Director of Rehab Services
Provides physical therapy evaluations. Develops an individual plan of treatment for each patient. Provides age appropriate treatment. Participates in team meetings and discharge planning. Educates patients and their families in the patient s treatment program. Directs Physical Therapist Assistants and Patient Care Technicians in patient treatments. Maintains accurate written reports. Participates in the on-call rotation for weekends and holidays. Maintains standards as set down by the American Physical Therapy Association regarding treatment procedures and professional ethics.
Participates in continuing education programs. Participates in community education. Acts as clinical instructor for PT and PTA students. Participates in the Continuous Quality Improvement efforts of the department and the Medical Center.
