LPN Clinical Coordinator II - Health Centers - Full Time
Join Erlanger Health System as the LPN Clinical Coordinator II. The role reports to the Director of Clinical Services and oversees the supervision of all clinical staff in an Erlanger-owned physician practice. The Coordinator provides both direct and indirect patient care to support practice physicians and manages patient flow activities.
Key Responsibilities- Supervise and/or perform all patient triage functions.
- Serve as lead OSHA representative.
- Maintain Joint Commission compliance standards and carry out quarterly audit reports.
- Collaborate with the Practice Manager and Director of Clinical Services to set yearly clinical budgets.
- Manage financial and cost-effective stocking of clinical supplies, medications, and equipment.
- Maintain appropriate charge levels for patient evaluation encounters, outpatient procedures, injections, administration fees, and medical supply charges.
- Support general practice operations in collaboration with the Director of Clinical Services.
- Ensure patient confidentiality at all stages of care.
- Assist with handling patient complaints and corrections to patient clinical accounts.
- Effectively communicate goals, standards, and expectations to clinical staff.
- Meet quality and productivity goals.
- Develop, implement, and monitor procedures, guidelines, and related plans.
- Assist providers in delivering care, including collecting patient history, preparing equipment and supplies, supervising documentation of interventions, administering medications, drawing blood, obtaining prescriptions, completing lab slips, and handling referral forms.
- Provide telephone assistance to patients, returning messages, and documenting communications.
- Schedule patient appointments as directed.
- Licensed Practical Nurse with a valid license in the State of Tennessee.
- BLS certification prior to starting the position and maintained thereafter.
- Minimum three years of experience in a physician office setting.
- Prior computer experience.
- Knowledge of healthcare field, infection control, patient confidentiality, medical charting, medical terminology, basic life support, and relevant Windows-based applications.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to establish effective working relationships with staff, patients, public, and external agencies.
- Previous experience in a physician office setting.
- Experience or training with IV sedation.
- Bachelor’s degree.
- Graduate from an accredited School of Practical Nursing.
- Bachelor’s degree preferred.
