Summary:

We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Network Engineer with 10+ years of enterprise networking experience to design, implement, and support next-generation network infrastructure across data center, cloud, and hybrid environments.
The ideal candidate will be a technical expert in firewalls, Zero Trust Network Access (ZTNA), application delivery, VXLAN EVPN, and cloud networking, with a strong background in network architecture and infrastructure modernization.
This role requires a combination of senior technical leadership, strategic thinking, and exceptional communication skills. The successful candidate will work closely with Leadership, Enterprise Architecture, Security, Cloud, and Infrastructure teams to develop and execute network strategies that support business growth, security, scalability, and operational excellence.
This individual will be based out of Chattanooga TN (UNUM HQ) and will play a critical role in shaping the organization's network strategy.
** Required Qualifications
**** Experience**
* ** 10+ years of experience
** in enterprise network engineering, architecture, and operations.
* Proven experience designing and supporting large-scale enterprise and data center networks.
* Demonstrated success leading complex infrastructure projects and network modernization initiatives.
** Technical Expertise
*** Expert-level experience with enterprise firewall technologies and security architecture.
* Extensive experience designing and implementing
** ZTNA
* * and Zero Trust networking solutions.
* Strong expertise in
** application delivery technologies**, including load balancing and traffic management.
* Deep hands-on experience with
** VXLAN EVPN**, spine-leaf architecture, and modern data center networking.
* Strong knowledge of routing and switching protocols, including BGP, OSPF, and EVPN.
* Experience designing and supporting
** AWS and/or Azure cloud networking
** environments.
* Strong understanding of network segmentation, resiliency, disaster recovery, and high-availability architectures.
* Experience with network automation, Infrastructure as Code (IaC), and orchestration tools is preferred.
* Advanced troubleshooting and analytical skills across network, security, and application layers.
