About the Role
Sulzer Pump Services is looking for a Supply Chain Manager to manage 12 locations nationwide. The role involves setting up, supporting, and continuously improving the Pump Services Product Line and its supply chain management program.
Responsibilities- Identify and manage relationships with suppliers, negotiate contracts, and ensure timely acquisition of raw materials and components.
- Coordinate transportation, warehousing, and storage of goods to ensure efficient and cost-effective delivery.
- Maintain appropriate stock levels of materials and finished products, analyze inventory data, and ensure supplies are available for production and customer orders.
- Forecast demand, plan production schedules, and coordinate with manufacturing teams to align output with market needs.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, manufacturers, distributors, and customers to ensure smooth collaboration and address issues.
- Continuously review and analyze existing logistical functions and processes, identify areas for improvement, and develop policies to increase efficiency.
- Identify and implement strategies to minimize costs throughout the supply chain, from sourcing to delivery.
- Streamline processes and optimize resource allocation to increase output and improve overall operational performance.
- Ensure timely and reliable delivery of products to customers, contributing to a positive customer experience.
- Utilize performance data and analytics to make informed decisions and guide strategies for improvement.
- Identify potential issues within the supply chain, such as supply disruptions or sudden spikes in demand, and develop strategies to mitigate these risks.
- Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or similar technical degree OR Bachelor’s degree in business relevant to supply chain, vendor management, business analysis.
- 5 years relevant experience in manufacturing with supply chain management and business analysis responsibilities.
- Minimum of 5‑year P&L responsibility.
