Position Overview
Warehouse Material Handler (Fri-Tue 3:30pm - 12:00am) – Full Time, Chattanooga, USA (4513 N Access Rd).
Responsible for acting as liaison between the direct fulfillment program manager, demand planners and the DB Schenker BTS fulfillment site.
Responsibilities- Ensure that all commitments from the various demand planning groups are within the agreed product lead times.
- Resolve delays in providing the needed material within the agreed timeline.
- Manage the lead times of all purchase orders placed on behalf of the customer and report on agreed lead times.
- Expedite purchase orders as needed.
- Ensure the recommit process is followed as needed.
- Review the back‑log report and coordinate any exceptions with the supplier; review these recommits and any rejected expedited requests.
- Review suppliers' build/ship plans ensuring the plan meets the commitments based on the PO commit dates.
- Review potential on‑time shipment issues to eliminate orders shipping after the scheduled date or OTS, document the issues and report on them weekly.
- Manually schedule orders falling outside the product's scheduled lead time with the supplier and identify reasons why product is not scheduled within lead time.
- Monitor lead time of all POs ensuring they are shipped within lead time and report on lead‑time commitment; manage the process to correct any issues.
Must be able to pass any federal, state, local government, airport, or company‑required background checks, clearances, and/or drug and alcohol tests.
QualificationsEssential qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent preferred; high school diploma or equivalent required. 2–4 years of related experience preferred. Exceptional interpersonal and analytical skills required.
Expected base pay: $19.50 per hour, with final compensation determined by job‑related factors.
