Position Summary

We are seeking a hands‑on, results‑driven Logistics Manager to lead and optimize all aspects of material flow, logistics, and warehouse operations during a period of rapid growth. This role is ideal for a proactive leader who can assess current systems, develop scalable processes, and drive operational excellence across multiple facilities.

The Logistics Manager will play a critical role in ensuring the efficient movement, storage, and delivery of raw materials, finished goods, and supplies while maintaining high standards of accuracy, cost control, and customer service.

Key Responsibilities Logistics & Supply Chain Management
  • Direct the movement of raw materials, finished goods, and operational supplies between three sites across Chattanooga, TN
  • Plan and coordinate inbound and outbound shipments to ensure on-time delivery to customers and production continuity
  • Collaborate with vendors, carriers, and customers to ensure efficient scheduling, routing, and issue resolution
  • Optimize transportation strategies, freight costs, and carrier performance
Warehouse Operations Leadership
  • Supervise, coach, and develop a warehouse team of 10–15 employees
    , including scheduling, performance management, and training
  • Oversee daily warehouse operations including receiving, storage, picking, shipping, and inventory control
  • Ensure safe, efficient, and organized warehouse environments across all locations
  • Improve material flow, layout, and space utilization to support growth
Inventory & Materials Management
  • Manage raw materials inventory including paperboard, films & foils, and supplies to ensure uninterrupted production
  • Oversee finished goods inventory to ensure accurate tracking, storage, and timely fulfillment
  • Develop and enforce inventory control procedures, including cycle counts, reconciliation, and reporting standards
  • Maintain accurate ERP/MRP system transactions and reporting
Cross-Functional Collaboration
  • Partner with production, scheduling, procurement, and customer service teams to align inventory and logistics with demand
  • Support production planning by ensuring material availability and efficient internal transfers
  • Act as a key liaison between operations, suppliers, and customers
Process Improvement & Strategy
  • Evaluate current logistics and warehouse processes; identify gaps and implement scalable best practices
  • Lead continuous improvement initiatives focused on efficiency, cost reduction, accuracy, and service levels
  • Analyze data to optimize inventory levels, improve turns, and reduce excess or obsolete stock
  • Establish KPIs and reporting for warehouse and logistics performance
Compliance & Safety
  • Ensure compliance with all safety regulations, company policies, and industry best practices
  • Promote a strong safety culture across all warehouse and logistics operations
