As a Logistics Coordinator in Chattanooga, TN, you will be responsible for coordinating shipments, maintaining accurate records, and ensuring compliance across all logistics activities. This Logistics Coordinator position is primarily office‑based but located on‑site at a fertilizer plant, so comfort working in an industrial setting is important. The Logistics Coordinator plays a key role in keeping operations running smoothly by supporting both field teams and external partners.
Position OverviewIn this Logistics Coordinator role, you will manage the flow of inbound and outbound shipments while handling the documentation and communication that keeps operations efficient and compliant. You'll work closely with drivers, plant personnel, and leadership to ensure timelines are met and reporting is accurate.
Key Responsibilities- Coordinating daily truck schedules and communicating with drivers and carriers.
- Preparing and reviewing shipping documents, including bills of lading and required compliance paperwork.
- Maintaining accurate logs, reports, and shipment records using internal systems and Excel.
- Supporting payroll‑related tracking, onboarding paperwork, and general administrative duties.
- Assisting with compliance documentation aligned with FRA, OSHA, and EPA standards.
We are seeking a Logistics Coordinator who is organized, dependable, and comfortable working in a fast‑paced environment. Prior experience in logistics, transportation, or administrative support is helpful, but not required.
