Service Manager - Boiler Industry

Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Service Manager with 5+ years of experience in the boiler, HVAC, or industrial equipment industry to oversee service and mechanical technicians, manage ongoing projects, and optimize fleet and tool inventory across multiple sites. This role involves leading recruitment and training programs, ensuring facility maintenance and compliance with safety regulations, and supervising rental boiler fabrication to meet industry standards.

The ideal candidate will enhance operational efficiency, drive customer service excellence, contribute to strategic leadership decisions, and continuously improve workforce performance through structured processes and balanced workload management. Strong technical expertise, leadership, and communication skills are essential to ensure seamless collaboration and execution across departments.

Responsibilities:

• Manage and oversee service and mechanical technicians, ongoing projects, fleet, and tool inventory across multiple sites, ensuring efficient execution, proper resource allocation, and high-quality workmanship.
• Monitor and optimize the utilization rate of the service and mechanical technician team, ensuring productivity, efficiency, and balanced workloads across all sites.
• Lead the selection, hiring, and onboarding of new team members, building a skilled and reliable workforce.
• Develop and implement training programs for service and mechanical teams to enhance technical expertise and job performance.
• Ensure facilities and shop areas across multiple locations are properly maintained, promoting cleanliness, organization, and operational efficiency.
• Supervise the fabrication of rental boilers, ensuring adherence to specifications, safety standards, and industry regulations.
• Maintain a strong focus on workplace safety, enforcing proper procedures and compliance with safety regulations to protect employees.
• Actively contribute to the leadership team, collaborating on strategic decisions to drive service excellence and business growth.
• Champion outstanding customer service, ensuring all projects meet or exceed client expectations through responsiveness and high-quality execution.

• 5+ years of service management experience in the boiler industry or a related field (HVAC, industrial equipment, or mechanical services).
• Proven leadership experience managing service and mechanical teams across multiple sites.
• Strong technical expertise in boiler systems, fabrication, and equipment maintenance.
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to coordinate effectively across departments and with customers.
• Demonstrated ability to recruit, train, and mentor technicians, fostering a high-performing team culture.
• Experience overseeing facilities, fleet, and tool management to ensure operational efficiency.
• Commitment to workplace safety, with knowledge of industry regulations and best practices.
• Ability to develop and implement structured service processes, optimizing workflow and resource allocation.
• College degree preferred but not required, with a strong emphasis on industry experience and leadership capabilities.
