General Labor – Food Manufacturing

Swaggerty Sausage Company, Inc. is seeking safety-minded General Laborers to work in Kodak, TN. Experience in the food manufacturing industry is a plus but not required. Applicants should have access to reliable transportation. We have openings in various production positions. You have seen the rest; now join the best.

Competitive pay starts at $17.50
(Includes a $4.00 per hour attendance bonus)
Shift differential for 2nd shift is an additional $0.50

First and second shifts are available. Monday through Friday with an occasional Saturday. Benefits, bonuses, and overtime are available as applicable.
First Shift: 6:30 am – 3:00 pm Second Shift: 3:00 pm – 11:30 pm

Requirements

• Be at least eighteen (18) years of age.
• Pass E-Verify authorization.
• Have good moral character as determined by a thorough investigation conducted by the employing agency.
• Must be authorized to work in the United States.
• Thoroughness.
• Teamwork Orientation.
• Basic technical capacity.

Responsibilities

• Loading or unloading materials manually, off or on to pallets.
• Maintain a safe work environment
• Adapt well to a fast-paced environment
• Employee must wear employer-provided personal protective equipment as applicable to position.
• Employee must have slip-resistant shoes.

Physical Demands

• Stand for long periods of time.
• Repetitive arm movement.
• Must be able to repetitively lift and pull 50 pounds.
• Comprehend instructions and retain information.
• Fast-paced environment
• Tolerate an average temperature of 55 degrees year-round.
• Employee must wear employer-provided personal protective equipment as applicable to position.
• The noise level in the work environment can be loud.
