Production Supervisor

Job Title: 2nd Shift Production Supervisor - Paint

Salary Range: $75-88k plus OT after 45 hours

How many: 1 opening

Shift(s): 2nd shift 2pm-11pm, with overtime as needed

Location: Chattanooga, TN

Reports to: Paint Department Manager

Direct Reports: 44 including associates inside and outside the loading inspection tunnel, as well as 3 team leads (these numbers may be less on 2nd shift)

To ensure that paint associates have everything needed to perform all aspects of their job safely and properly.

• Monitor work environment and employee actions to ensure safe working conditions
• Monitor associates to ensure they are following current work instructions
• Monitor production schedule to ensure that parts are available and ready for production
• Monitor part quality; perform root cause analysis and recurrence prevention of failures related to quality and performance of associates
• Assist associates with issues that prevent them from performing their job properly
• Relieve operator or shift manager in emergencies
• Provide direction and assign tasks to operators
• Maintain KPI and communication boards
• Ensure all associates are trained properly and ensure consistent and fair treatment (accountability)
• Report any safety or performance issues to shift manager

• 5+ years’ experience in automotive painted parts production and technical supervision
• Ability to deploy structured problem-solving process
• Good interpersonal and organizational skills
• Ability to pass a Munsell color test for color matching of painted parts to specification
• Must be a team player, flexible, and have good communication skills
