Plant Controller

A global automotive manufacturer is seeking an experienced Plant Controller with direct, hands‑on manufacturing finance experience to lead financial operations at our Chattanooga facility.

This role requires current or recent experience in a manufacturing plant environment.

• Full financial leadership of a manufacturing facility
• Standard costing, product costing, and BOM analysis
• Labor & overhead absorption analysis
• Inventory control, cycle counts, and physical inventory oversight
• Manufacturing variance analysis (labor, material, overhead, scrap)
• Capacity planning and operational financial modeling
• Month‑end close in a plant environment
• Budgeting and rolling forecasts tied to production volumes
• Audit preparation and SOX/internal control compliance
• Leadership of on‑site accounting team (Sr. Accountant + Accounting Clerk)
• Active participation on the Plant Leadership Team

• 5+ years in a manufacturing finance or plant controller role
• Deep experience with standard cost accounting in a production environment
• Proven background supporting plant operations (production, engineering, supply chain)
• Experience in automotive manufacturing strongly preferred
• ERP experience within a manufacturing setting
• Prior supervisory experience

• Automotive Tier 1 or Tier 2 supplier experience
• High‑volume, multi‑SKU production environment
• Experience with capacity modeling and operational KPI analysis
• CPA or advanced degree preferred

This is a hands‑on, floor‑connected finance leadership role. We are seeking a Controller who understands manufacturing cost drivers, inventory movement, absorption, and operational KPIs — not just financial reporting.
