Job Overview This position is responsible for the safe and efficient operation of the burn cutting tables as requested to supply the required components to meet customer and department needs.
Key Duties and Responsibilities Safely operate burn cutting machines as required per the training and instructions given by the company.
Safely operate overhead cranes and forklifts to handle material as required.
Follow scheduling instructions as required by plant leadership.
Diagnose cut and or dimensional quality defect issues and make appropriate corrections to machine settings or material to correct unwanted condition in a timely manner.
Complete required documentation for safety, production, quality, and equipment issue reporting as instructed.
Maintain laser and material handling equipment operations to support efficient cut and processing times.
Maintain a safe and clean work area.
Stop (if possible) and report any unsafe conditions or acts as soon as observed.
Report all equipment malfunctions to the leadership team as soon as possible.
Perform all other duties assigned by the leadership team.
Qualifications / Requirements The requirements listed below are not all inclusive but rather are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required in the position.
REQUIREDAbility to learn to use measuring devices such as tape measure and calipers or micrometer.
Ability to learn to input required data into machine controls.
Ability to learn to safely operate overhead crane to load and unload burn tables as required.
Ability to obtain valid Tag forklift license and learn to safely move incoming and outgoing steel from burn tables.
Ability to learn to read and understand program layouts and instructions.
Ability to learn to operate cutting torch as required.
Ability to follow both written and oral instructions.
PREFERRED Prior working experience with burn tables or cutting torch operations.
Experience with part number marking process for Tag burn operations.
3-6 months experience in burn cutting table work environment.
Ability to train other employees on the marking and removal of parts on the burn tables.

Working Conditions and
Physical Requirements Must be able to stand, walk, bend, climb, sit, crouch, and kneel for moderate to extended periods of time
Must be able to lift, push, pull, and carry up to 50 pounds on a regular basis
Must be able to work in an environment that is heavily affected by seasonal temperature changes
