Position Overview
We are hiring a qualified welder for day and night shifts. This role requires interpreting blueprints, laying out components, and performing welding on steel, aluminum, copper, and other materials. The incumbent will inspect welds, repair defects, operate cutting torches and plasma cutters, and maintain a clean, organized workspace.
Shift ScheduleDay
Shift: Mon‑Thu | 7:00am – 5:30pm
Night
Shift: Mon‑Thu | 5:00pm – 3:30am
Overtime is available for each shift.
- Interpret blueprints and confirm job requirements with the lead.
- Gather materials and perform layout work according to specifications.
- Set up welding machines and adjust settings for various applications.
- Weld steel, aluminum, copper, and other materials in multiple positions and joint configurations.
- Inspect welds for quality and repair defective joints as needed.
- Operate cutting torches and manual plasma cutters when required.
- Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work area through regular housekeeping duties.
- High School Diploma or GED.
- At least one year of welding experience.
- Ability to read tape measures and blueprints.
- Proficiency in operating welding equipment, cutting torches, brushes, pads, buffers, grinders, overhead cranes, and rubber hammers.
- Physical ability to stand, walk, and lift up to 50lbs. for extended periods.
- Work in a non‑temperature‑controlled environment while wearing required PPE.
- Training in applicable SOPs and work instructions.
