Job Title

Material Handler

Schedule: 12 Hour Night Shifts (6:30pm-7:00am). Days worked will rotate.

The Material Handler is responsible for picking orders and loading/unloading cases of product to and from trailers and containers, ensuring the accuracy of all orders picked, and inspecting the cases and product for quality issues. The incumbent ensures that the appropriate materials are supplied to the assigned production areas and lines, shrinks wraps any material to be stored or returned to the warehouse, and checks pallet tickets and loads for accuracy.

• Supply materials to the line – 35%
• Remove finished goods from line – 35%
• SAP Transactions – 20%
• Perform forklift required checks – 10%

• Education (Minimum Needed): High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Experience (Minimum Needed): Must be certified to operate a forklift and pass a mandatory forklift physical.
• Specialized Knowledge Needed For Performance of Job:
  • Identify numerous finished products.
  • Perform necessary SAP transactions.
  • Perform routine forklift checklist.
  • Change forklift battery using proper PPE.
  • Operate and perform hoist inspection.
  • Assist in unloading raw materials/packaging materials.
  • Bale plastic and cardboard and take away trash to compactor.

  Skills:
  
  Will be trained to perform various jobs within the warehouse consistent with the skill level and physical demands of the position.
• Other: Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Outlook, and SAP.

• Rare lifting up to 50 lbs.
• Ensure quality of product in all orders picked.
• Knowledge of warehouse operating procedures.
• Certified to operate a forklift.
