Entry-level position that will support the welding and fabrication operations in the subframe fabrication shop.

NOTE:

This is an entry-level position. Candidates with limited or basic experience are encouraged to apply. Compensation for this position is progressive; as skills are developed and qualified in the role over a 3-year period, compensation will be adjusted on an annual basis. The selected candidate will be promoted to a full welder-fabricator at successful completion of the training and qualification period.

• Maintain a safe and clean work environment
• Perform individual welding and fabrication tasks on trailers under the supervision of more experienced welder-fabricators
• Assist more experienced welder-fabricators with fabricating subframes and weldments
• Assist the Site Support Technician with breaking down and disassembly of incoming trailers for rebuilding
• Other miscellaneous site tasks and responsibilities as dictated by the site leadership team

• Basic computer skills
• Basic mechanics tool set, or the willingness and ability to procure one within 90 days of hire
• Ability to read, write, and understand English
• Ability to do basic math
• Strong willingness to learn and develop personal skills and abilities
• Strong ability to take direction and input from more experienced co-workers
• Strong desire to progress through the qualification process to full Welder-Fabricator status

• High School Diploma or GED

• Limited or entry level experience with welding and fabricating, ideally from a vocational school, tech school, shop class, or other instructional program
• Ability to read work instructions, blueprints, and/or flow charts
• Strong mechanical aptitude
• Creative thinking mindset to suggest improvements and changes
